Asia-Pacific and Latin America are geographically distant, but we at Media MICE have been hearing more and more about the opportunities in learning each holds for the other in ophthalmology. Hence, we embarked on a massive journey shortly after the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) in Kuala Lumpur to the Pan-American Association of Ophthalmology (PAAO) congress in Buenos Aires and find out about industry synergies — both in terms of company projects and physician education. After 40+ hours in flights each way, we were not disappointed.
