2018 in ophthalmology is looking great.
But it’s going to be hard to beat 2017.

From APVRS Kuala Lumpur to EURETINA Barcelona, 2017 was full of great shows, technology, people and offerings.

We’re waxing a bit nostalgic here at PIE Magazine, so check out our latest eyeVLOG recapping great 2017 exhibitions, all in our unique style!

  • From APVRS Kuala Lumpur, we saw Dr. Ashish Sharma, Innovator and Head, MII RetCam Development Team, speak about potential recognition of disease states using artificial intelligence
  • At ASRS Boston, we heard Dr. Hafeez Dhalla talk at the Volk booth about Volk’s non-contact MERLIN Surgical System, for vitreoretinal surgery.
  • At EURETINA Barcelona, Ms. Lauren DeMello, of The Angiogenesis Foundation, showed how even in our digital era, posters still could be used as effective medical education tools, and demonstrated one on Geographic Atrophy (GA).
  • And we heard from Ms. Brigitte Bark Leuch, Senior Advisor to Aprofol, who suggested it’s time to reconsider supplementation in AMD.

Once you’re done pining away for 2017, get ready for 2018. We’ll see you next at APAO Hong Kong, February 8-11 (come see us and our TOP SECRET event at Media MICE Booth #3A-04).

See you at APAO Hong Kong!
