What does fruit have to do with ophthalmology?

Fruits like oranges are packed with Vitamin C, which can help ward off age-related macular degeneration. Strawberries could help prevent cataracts. Watermelons are full of Vitamin A, a big vision promoter. And vision-healthy bananas also look good in a suit.

That’s right, a suit.

The PIE GUYS are representing vision-healthy fruits, and ophthalmology’s new funky style, by wearing Fruit Suits to ophthalmology conferences around the world.

You might have seen them at EURETINA Barcelona, ESCRS Lisbon, or recently at AAO New Orleans.

If you haven’t, check out eyeVLOG 05 about their recent adventures at AAO, and their upcoming appearance at the Asia-Pacific Vitreo-retina Society (APVRS) Congress in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, December 8-10, 2017.

The PIE GUYS also will be representing PIE Magazine (Posterior Segment – Innovation – Enlightenment), Asia-Pacific’s first magazine on the posterior segment, and the world’s first funky ophthalmology magazine. We’d tell you their booth number at APVRS Kuala Lumpur, but then again, you won’t miss them.

See you at APVRS in Kuala Lumpur!
